Excercise Physiology
Exercise Physiologists are allied health professionals who focus on the corrective aspect of clinical exercise intervention for preventing and managing chronic health conditions, injuries, and disabilities. A chronic condition is one that has lasted for longer than 3 months and can be musculoskeletal, metabolic, or cardiovascular.
Exercise Physiologists have an important role in behavioural change and education regarding self-management techniques to improve health, wellness, and quality of life. Exercise Physiologists work with healthy people, people recovering from injury, people with chronic disease, people with disabilities, children, or elite athletes to create exercise programs to help people achieve their goals in a safe manner. Exercise Physiologists are accredited by ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia).
